How To Replace Filters

Maintaining your Filtered Showerhead is essential to keep enjoying the benefits of cleaner, healthier water for your skin and hair. One of the key maintenance tasks is replacing the filter, which ensures that your showerhead continues to function optimally.

Why Replace the Filter?

Over time, the filter captures impurities, sediments, and other contaminants. While this is great for ensuring clean water, it means the filter can become saturated and less effective. Replacing it regularly—depending on your water quality and frequency of use—ensures maximum performance and extends the life of your showerhead.

What You’ll Need

  • A new replacement filter (compatible with your showerhead model).
  • A soft cloth or towel.
  • Optional: rubber gloves (to help grip the parts).

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Turn Off the Water Supply. Make sure the water is completely turned off at your shower valve to avoid any unexpected leaks or splashes.
  2. Unscrew the Bottom of the Showerhead. Hold the showerhead firmly and twist the bottom section counterclockwise to unscrew it. If it’s too tight, use a soft cloth or rubber gloves for better grip.
  3. Remove the Old Filter. Gently pull it out, taking care not to damage any internal components of the showerhead.
  4. Inspect the Housing. Check the area where the filter was located for any debris, mineral buildup, or blockages. Wipe it clean with a soft, damp cloth if necessary.
  5. Insert the New Filter. Align it properly with the filter housing and insert it into place, ensuring it sits snugly. The filter should fit without force—if it doesn’t, double-check the alignment.
  6. Reattach the Bottom Section. Screw the bottom section back into place by twisting it clockwise. Tighten it firmly but avoid overtightening.
  7. Test for Leaks. Turn the water back on and test the showerhead. Check for any leaks around the bottom section and tighten slightly more if needed.
  8. Enjoy Your Upgraded Shower Experience. With the new filter in place, your shower water is now cleaner and healthier.
